Dorsett Shepherds Bush, London is looking for a Security Officer to join our team. As the Security Officer, you will be responsible for the safety and security of our guests and associates.
The ideal candidate will be experienced within the hospitality sector or in a similar environment of service orientated industry. You must have good IT skills and communication skills written and verbal. You must be passionate about service and be self-motivated to change and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, check and monitor the CCTV system.
- Patrol the hotel on a regular basis ensuring fire walks take place and are recorded.
- Support evacuation of the hotel during fire alarm situations
- Ensure hotel facilities and function rooms remain secure and locked when not in use.
- Maintain the security log book, record all lost property and incident reports.
- Investigate and report all allegations of theft, criminal damage and other incidents.
- Manage undesirable behaviour in a professional manner and soothing potential altercations
Ideal security officer candidate must be:
- Knowledgeable about fire procedures, disaster plan procedure, bomb threats and hotel evacuation procedures
- Well versed in local law/government regulation
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- You currently hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor's license.
- Supporting the team to deliver a 24 hour, 365 days a year professional security operation
- Assisting with the operation where it is needed
