Income Auditor 2017-06-15

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the  Head of Finance with regards to the daily audit of all records pertaining to revenue of the hotel.
  • Carry out daily checks of revenue via an Operations Audit as per hotel standards
  • Ensures that all documents are complete with reports received and audits them all, checking for accuracy. Any discrepancy on impropriety is to be brought to the Head of Finance’s attention in a report.
  • Reconcile and monitor commissions, housekeeper and rate discrepancies, and Conference and Banqueting Revenue against daily function sheets
  • Check non-arrivals, late departures, no sales/voids, management bills, bill sequence and pay-outs
  • Check bills signed to Room Account and record all covers
  • Spot-check Function Diary and the settlement of function bills
  • Reconcile telephone, Pay TV, newspaper revenue, guest laundry income, corrections and allowance
  • To audit all adjustments made to revenue (allowances, rebates, night auditors corrections).
  • To check all voided or cancelled F & B checks with a valid reason indicated and approved by the F & B Manager.
  • Ensure Advanced Deposits are current
  • Recommend improvements to processes as required
  • Execute on tasks/requests as instructed by the Head of Finance and/or General Manager

Requirement

  • Experience in the hotel
  • Possess strong organisational skills
  • A good understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
  • Strong influencing, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
